February is American Heart Month 

For our family, heart health is personal. In 2022, our oldest son underwent a free heart screening and was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome. Fortunately, he received the necessary treatment and returned to normal activities. 

This past summer, our middle son collapsed during football conditioning due to sudden cardiac arrest despite showing no prior symptoms. Thanks to the quick actions of his athletic trainer and principal, who performed CPR for over 20 minutes, and the use of an AED by EMTs, he was revived. This experience highlighted how crucial CPR can be in emergencies. 

We've learned that heart screenings, CPR, and AEDs save lives. That's why we fundraise and volunteer with Championship Hearts Foundation, which provides free heart screenings to teens in Texas. We also started Moore CPR, a nonprofit focused on CPR and AED training.
